THE APP.
How DUIU works — Threads, replies, voting, and what makes it different.
DUIU is a social video app built around competition. Someone posts a video to start a Thread — a prompt, a challenge, a question. Anyone can reply with their own video. The community votes on what deserves to rise. The crowd decides the ranking, not the algorithm.
It is participation, not just consumption. You are not here to scroll — you are here to compete.
A Thread is a ranked video competition. It starts with a root video that sets the prompt or brief, and anyone can reply with their own video. Votes determine the ranking inside the Thread. The top replies rise. The crowd decides who wins.
You vote on replies inside a Thread to decide which ones deserve to rise. Votes directly affect the ranking — the more votes a reply gets, the higher it climbs. Rankings update in real time and are visible to everyone.
You cannot vote on your own reply. Votes are not likes — they are decisions about who rises in the competition.
Most Threads are open to everyone. Some Threads — especially brand-sponsored Drops — may have specific eligibility requirements such as age, location, or account status. Those requirements will be shown before you enter.
You can submit one reply per Thread. Every entry is a real stake in the competition.
DUIU moderates all content before it appears publicly. Replies may be removed if they violate our Community Guidelines — for example if they contain harmful, unsafe, infringing, or prohibited content.
If your reply was removed and you believe this was a mistake, contact us at [email protected] with your username and the Thread in question.
Most video platforms are built around passive consumption — the algorithm decides what you see, and you scroll past it. DUIU is built around active participation. You enter, you vote, you compete, and the crowd decides who rises.
Likes are reactions. Votes are decisions.

DROPS & PRIZES.
Everything about brand-sponsored Drops, prize tiers, and how winners are selected.
A Drop is a branded Thread with real prizes. A brand sets a creative brief and funds a prize pool. You reply with a video, the community votes, and prize tiers unlock as participation grows. The crowd decides the ranking — and the winners.
Winners are determined by the final vote ranking when the Drop closes. The community votes throughout the Drop — the entries with the most votes rise to the top. When the timer ends, the top-ranked entries are selected as winners based on the prize structure.
The brand does not choose the winner. The community does.
Prize tiers unlock progressively as participation grows. When the number of entries crosses a threshold, a higher prize tier unlocks — bigger prizes become available. The more people enter and vote, the bigger the rewards for everyone competing.
Each Drop has its own prize structure and unlock thresholds, which are shown inside the Drop before you enter.
If you win a Drop, you will be notified through the app. Make sure your notifications are enabled so you don't miss it. Winners may also be announced publicly in the Drop itself.
If you believe you should have won and were not notified, contact us at [email protected].
When you win, you will receive instructions through the app for how to claim your prize. You may be asked to provide contact details, delivery information, or identity verification depending on the prize and the brand running the Drop.
Respond to the winner notification within the time shown — unclaimed prizes may be forfeited. If you have trouble claiming your prize, contact [email protected].
Entries can be disqualified for several reasons: violating the Drop's creative brief or Official Rules, violating DUIU's Community Guidelines, submitting content that infringes copyright, using bots or vote manipulation, or failing eligibility requirements.
If you believe your entry was disqualified unfairly, contact us at [email protected] with your username and the Drop name.
